Odisha Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana Details -

                         The government of Odisha has presented a wonderful scheme for the people of Odisha state. The Prime Minister Of Odisha Naveen Patnaik has launched it on 72nd Independence day Dt. 15.08.2021 in a new way for the economically poor people and named as BIJU SMART HEALTH CARD YOJANA. The Vision is to provide Free Medical Service to the people of Odisha. As "Every life is Precious" with this objective, Biju Swasthya Kalyan yojana has been launched to provide Universal health coverage for economically vulnerable families. All the Important information regarding Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana or BSKY Card Yojana is provided in this article. So Read Carefully, An applicant who will be clearing all the eligibility criteria can avail of the benefits of BSKY Card 2021.

Odisha Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana 2021 -

                         Odisha Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana aims to provide Universal health coverage with special emphasis on the health protection of economically poor people. Through this yojana, an applicant can avail cashless treatment by the help of the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Odisha. State government will bear the cost of health care provided in empanelled private hospitals for Over 92.5 lakh economically vulnerable families in the state . In this yojana annual health coverage of Rs.5 lakh per family and additional Rs.5 lakh for the women members of the family is given. A. Who is eligible ?

1. All families are eligible for health care services at government health care institutions to District Head quarter hospital for which state government will bear the full of cost.

2. For additional facility of healthcare an additional annual health coverage of Rs.5 lakh per family and additional Rs.5 lakh for women members of the same family is given.
Remember - All BSKY Smart card holders and NFSA/SFSS Card holder are eligible to avail the special health coverage, for which state government will bear the cost.

B. What are the benefits of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana Scheme ?

1. All the health services charges borne by the government in all government health institutions up to government medical college Hospital level, for all persons.

2. Families having BSKY Smart health card can avail cashless treatment at any empanelled private hospitals under BSKY within or Outside the state.

Remember - For registration, consultation, Medical tests, pathologies, treatment, IPD and Follow up consultation under BSKY at any empanelled private hospitals, for which state government will bear the cost up to the annual coverage amount.

C. In which Hospital can the beneficiaries get free treatment ?

BSKY Smart card holders can avail treatment at any empanelled private hospitals within or outside of the state for which state for which state government will bear all the cost up to the annual coverage amount.

D. Is there any enrollment process or Apply only to get BSKY Card ?

There is no way or option to apply online or enrollment under BSKY, Families under NFSA/ SFSS with in Odisha are auto enrolled under this scheme.

Swasthya Mitra are developed at each help desk of empanelled private hospitals to facilitate the beneficiaries.

F. During emergency can i avail cashless treatment at any empanelled hospitals without carrying a card ?

Yes, all BSKY smart card holders are eligible to avail the cashless treatment at empanelled private hospitals even during emergencies. BSKY beneficiaries are allowed to submit the BSKY Smart card as an eligibility at BSKY Help desk Counter within 72 hours of hospitalization.

G. How Many Family Members Can available Free Treatment ?

All the Registered family members under NFSA/SFSS who are issued with BSKY Smart Card are eligible to avail Rs.5 lakh for family and additional Rs.5 lakh for the female members .

H. How to get Duplicate BSKY Card if Original Card Lost or damaged ?

If a beneficiary either losses or damages his/her card then the same can be obtai6 from nearest Mo Seva Kendra by Producing his/her NFSA/SFSS Card.

I. Where to get the list of empanelled Hospitals ?

Any person can raise any query or complaint regarding Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana with a toll free number 104 which is available 24×7.

K. How many packages are there under BSKY ?

At present there are 1589 under BSKY. Periodically new packages are added basing on emerging needs.

L. For Which Disease You Will Get Free Treatment ?

Management of Superficial burns, Minor Injuries, Malaria, Typhoid Fever, Gastroenteritis, Diarrhea, Dysentery, Tuberculosis, Urinary Tract Infection, Heat Stroke and Surgeries for hydrocele, abscess drainage, Lipoma and cyst excision and procedures like Dilatation and Curettage and Medical Termination of Pregnancy are reserved for government facilities.

Some Examples - Cancer, Covid-19, Kidney Transplant, Dengue, Viral Hepatitis, Pneumonia, Arthritis, Recurrent vomiting with Dehydration, Cataract (Small Incision Cataract Surgery), Glaucoma, Piles, Fissures, Hernia, Hysterectomy etc. 

M. Can a beneficiary directly go to a hospital to get treatment for Road Traffic Accidents, Trauma and Fracture ?

Yes, In the cases of road traffic accident, trauma or facture, a beneficiary can directly go to an empanelled hospital for treatment.

N. Whether I have to pay any extra amount ?

No extra cost is to be paid by the beneficiaries, if any complications arise during treatment. cost of treatment under BSKY borne by State of Government and there is no out of pocket expenditure.
